A + T’s love story is one for the books. These two met in Toronto and knew pretty quickly—they were each other’s person. When they reached out to plan an elopement, they knew they wanted something that felt relaxed, personal, and true to them. So that’s exactly what we created together, celebrating their same-sex elopement.
With every elopement and micro-wedding I photograph, I help guide my couples through the planning process. Whether that’s picking a location, building a timeline, or recommending incredible vendors. For A + T, that meant a whimsical spring elopement on Toronto Island, with florals that echoed the season. The sunset felt like something out of a dream. Their same-sex elopement truly embodied the season.
I started the day by picking up their bouquet from Brantford Blooms Florist—a soft, romantic arrangement that fit the vibe perfectly. We met near the ferry terminal to catch the evening boat across. I highly recommend booking ahead [here’s the link for ferry info + tickets]. It saved us so much stress not having to worry about lines or availability for their same-sex elopement.
Once we arrived on the island, we wandered over to Ward’s Island Beach. That’s where A + T shared their vows, just the two of them. They were wrapped in each other and the sounds of nature. No rush, no distractions, just love and their beautiful same-sex elopement.
We continued exploring, walking along quiet forest paths and pausing on the docks. The sky shifted into those dreamy golden tones. We wrapped up the night watching the city skyline glow in the distance while the sun dipped below the horizon. It was a moment I’ll never forget, highlighting their incredible same-sex elopement.
We hopped on the last ferry back, A + T curled up beside each other, watching the light fade behind the city. Their same-sex elopement was truly magical. I felt so grateful to be part of such a meaningful and authentic day.
