Drumheller Elopement Packages: Little Church Vows & Hoodoos Sunset Magic

If you’re dreaming of a day that’s stress-free, wildly scenic, and deeply personal—Drumheller might just be your perfect elopement location. From quiet vows in a tiny chapel to sunset champagne among ancient hoodoos, this desert-like destination offers so many opportunities to create an unforgettable experience.

Recently, I had the honour of capturing an elopement day that truly embraced everything Drumheller has to offer. It was the perfect mix of love, adventure, and wide-open spaces. And if you’re searching for Drumheller elopement packages that make things easy while still feeling intentional and beautiful—this one’s for you.

A Day Built Around Connection, Not Chaos

We kicked off the day at the sweetest little spot—The Little Church, nestled on a hill with views that stretch across the badlands. It may be small in size (it seats only 6!), but it’s overflowing with charm and intimacy. With just their officiant and two witnesses present, the couple exchanged vows in a quiet, emotional ceremony. No distractions. No audience. Just them and their promises to each other.

After the ceremony, we set off for a bit of an adventure. First stop? The Star Mine Suspension Bridge—a hidden gem that adds a little thrill to the day. They walked hand-in-hand across the swaying bridge, taking in the views, laughing, and fully soaking in the moment. This is what eloping is all about: slowing down, wandering together, and turning each location into a memory.

From there, we made our way to the iconic Hoodoos for golden hour. They popped a bottle of champagne, shared a slice of cake (because yes, you still deserve cake on your elopement day!), and watched the sky shift into cotton candy hues as the sun dipped behind the dusty formations. The photos we captured in that light? Absolute magic.

Why Eloping in Drumheller Is So Special

This place feels like another world. The rugged cliffs, desert tones, and dramatic formations make for such a unique backdrop—perfect for couples who want something a little different from the typical mountain or forest scenery.

And the best part? You don’t have to worry about crowds like you might in Banff or Jasper. Drumheller gives you space to breathe, move slowly, and actually enjoy your wedding day.

With the right planning, you can hit some of the area’s most iconic spots without feeling rushed or overwhelmed—and that’s exactly what I offer in my Drumheller elopement packages.
