Winter Lake Louise Engagement Photoshoot

Kennedi and Joe reached out to me in hopes I could photograph their engagement photoshoot at Lake Louise! This photoshoot was extra special because it was also their 4 year anniversary 🎉
Kennedi began her early morning off by getting glammed up by Sero Beauty Co. Kendra is amazing at hair and makeup so I always suggest to couples to hire her for their photographs! She does an awesome job at keeping it natural or glammed depending on what you desire.
Once they were all ready we headed to Lake Louise from Banff! When we were in Banff it was super nice, it was sunny and warm but part way to Lake Louise it starting to rain which turned to snow. I was fairly concerned that we wouldn’t have the view of the mountains from all of the snow! Once we got there and out of the vehicle we were pleasantly surprised that it was warm and fairly clear in the sky. The fog and clouds were above the mountains enough we still had the amazing views!
During the winter we have the luxury of being able to go onto the lake and we can get a variety of scenery rather than the normal views of Lake Louise! We began their shoot near the trees along with some easier poses. I love to start engagement photoshoots off easy and I love to save some of my favourite poses for when we have the incredible views! I do this just to get the couple warmed up and for them to see how I take photos. By the time get get to the other spots they are comfortable and typically a bit more excited for the photos 👏🏼
Luckily for us there was minimal people around for their winter engagement photoshoot at Lake Louise, which is rare for Lake Louise! They even had the option to go skating on the frozen lake if they wanted but Kennedi is expecting her second baby so we decided it was safer to avoid the skating! We finished off their engagement photoshoot with the incredible sun peaking through the clouds and mountains. We couldn’t have asked for a better ending!
