Adventure elopement in jasper national park

Chantal and Scott’s elopement started off at their cabin located at the Tekarra Lodge in Jasper National Park. Sheena Rae Beauty glammed Chantal up with hair and makeup while Scott got their little boy ready for the big day. After Chantal was glammed she helped Scott get ready. Once their outfits were on we set off to do a first look right beside the cabins. They had a stunning view beside Athabasca river where we did their first look! Chantal and Scott decided to keep the day just to themselves and include their little boy they had adopted.

getting to maligne lake for their elopement

We set off on the journey to Maligne Lake which was about a one hour drive from their Tekarra Lodge Cabin. To get there you have to go from Highway16, turn onto the Maligne Road 1.9 km east of Jasper. The lake is at road's end, 47 km from town. On the way to Maligne lake you will pass Maligne Canyon, Medicine lake and potentially a lot of wildlife. It is a stunning drive and one worth taking!

Maligne Lake Elopement wedding ceremony

When couples hire me for their day I help them find the perfect location for them. They share their desires and I find locations that fit their vibe to the best that I can within the area they want. Maligne lake was the perfect location for them as it is surrounded by mountains which a huge stunning lake. They chose to do their ceremony at the lakeshore just off the path for some privacy. They hired Be Hitched by Laura for as their officiant; Sheena and myself signed as their witnesses. Sometimes clients don’t want anyone else there but they need 2 witnesses (in Alberta) so I am more than happy to stay and be a witness!

Maligne Lake Boat Cruise to Sprit Island Elopement

Chantal and Scott knew they wanted to do an adventure but also something that is easy so they could include their kiddo. The Maligne Lake Boat Cruise made perfect sense for their day! It had spectacular views and but still an adventure. We took the Maligne Lake Boat tour that stops at Spirit Island. One of the most incredible locations in Jasper National Park that is only accessible by the boat tour, private boat (their tour guides only), canoe or kayaking in. The tour guides were so incredible, they allowed us to take a few extra minutes for photos and even gave the couple some champagne to pop. The full tour plus the stop on the island was just over 2 hours long.

Their had their elopement wedding in jasper national park during the fall season (september) so they had the changing colours of the trees along with perfect weather. Fall is (personally) my favourite time to elope in Jasper. I hope you all enjoy scrolling through some of Chantal and Scotts Maligne Lake Elopement Photographs.
