The Registration of Marriage is a legal document. It becomes the official record of marriage and is permanently archived with Alberta Vital Statistics.
The information on the Registration of Marriage is used to create government-issued marriage documents.
Alberta government issued marriage certificates can be ordered at an Alberta registry agent office.

The best time of the year to elope in banff
Spring
Spring is a wonderful time to Elope in Banff as the grass it starting to turn green, the ice is mostly melted from the lakes and it is fairly warm. A few things to consider if you plan to elope in spring; there may still be a bit of snow depending on when in spring you elope, depending on the amount of snow and ice melting the rivers may be high.
Summer
Summer is a great time to elope as it is a very comfortable heat! Everything is lush green and the lakes are bright blue. Summer would be an ideal time to elope in Banff but I would avoid the weekends so there are less tourists.
Autumn
Autumn is an ideal time to elope in Banff as the tress will start to turn colour and there are a lot less tourists. You may come across more wildlife during this time but please make sure to let them be as they can be dangerous.
Winter
Winters can be very cold in Banff but if you’re planning to ski, snowboard or do winter activities Banff is a great place to do it! They have everything you could think of in terms of winter activities.

Lake Louise is such a beautiful location. You get the privilege of having a bright blue lake while having a ton of actives on site to do. Such as; canoeing, kayaking, hiking, skiing and snowboarding. The Fairmont hotel is also facing the lake so you have the perfect location to stay at.
Moraine lake is also a bright blue lake that is just minutes from Lake Louise. It offers the same things as lake Louise minus having the fairmont hotel and the ski resort. Those are both in close distance though so you can experience it all!
Tunnel Mountain Reservoir is a perfect location if you want something easily accessible to have friends and family join while still getting the view of the mountains. This is location in the town of Banff so you don’t need to go far to get to the location!
Lake Minnewanka is a short 15 minute drive outside of Banff but it is a huge lake with mountains surrounding it. At this lake there is the option for a boat tour, kayaking, canoeing or hiking! This has so many amazing spots to tie the knot.
