Canmore Camper Van Elopement

Nikol and Jordan was lucky enough to have two incredible days! The first one was during the early stages of the pandemic; they shared their vows and tied the knot with a small backyard wedding. The second was a Canmore Camper Van Elopement!

Their day started off with Nikol getting her hair and makeup done by a local artist in Canmore. Once she was glammed up for the day we met at a near by park downtown Canmore. Jordan and Nikol helped each other get dressed in their Wedding attire! I always find these moments so special. After getting dressed they decided on a spot at a nearby park to enjoy their cake together. When Nikol told me they were bringing their Camper Van for their Elopement I was so excited! I knew we needed to get a photo of them and the van in the mountains and I was determined to find the perfect spot to do that. They then spent some time together in this location to soak in the views and quality time!

We then headed to their campsite at Spray Lakes just outside of Canmore; this is technically in the Kananaskis. The campsite had some of the most incredible views! You would never know there was a campsite with those views unless you’ve drove that way. Once we arrived we captured some intimate photographs of the couple and with their dog. Nikol had an awesome ring shot she wanted so we made those ideas come to life! They ran around the sand in their bare feet followed by a short and easy hike to a nearby spot.

It was now dinner time so Jordan and Nikol had a private dinner together while I went and got a bit of rest before we headed out for the evening to capture night photographs. We were able to capture some sunset photographs at the Engine Bridge in Canmore. Later in the evening we met at Lake Minnewanka for night time photographs. We were hoping for a starry night so we could have the mountains and stars in their photographs but the sky decided to be cloudy so we did a few other fun photographs instead! They ended their evening off by popping champagne, lighting sparklers and snuggling up around twinkly lights for our final time together.

Elopements can be whatever YOU want it to be. The day can be filled with the activities you want and surrounded by the people you want! I always suggest full day coverage because you DESERVE to have all of your day captured. It tells the story of you and your love for each other. This Camper Van Elopement is one for the books!

Review

“Allie was so accommodating with the changes we made to our wedding/photography arrangements during the pandemic. Some of our other vendors were not as flexible which was frustrating in a situation we had no control over, which is why we were so impressed with how much she was able to adapt and modify plans to help us achieve these beautiful wedding and engagement photos. We felt comfortable with her and it was easy to follow directions during the shoots”
