5 Places to Elope in Alberta
Banff National Park
One of the most well known locations in Alberta to Elope is Banff National Park. The area has some of the most breathtaking scenery around! This is an amazing option if you are wanting lakes and mountains without having to go on a crazy hike. You could do a crazy hike as well if you’re looking for more of a private area within Banff.
2. Canmore
Canmore is a wonderful option if you’re wanting to have your Elopement or Intimate Wedding close to the National Park without it being in the National Parks. You still get a lot of the same features such as the mountains and bright blue lakes! Canmore isn’t as busy as Banff may be. There are many well known and hidden locations all over Canmore that are perfect for Elopements!
3. Drumheller
Drumheller is one of my favourite locations in Alberta for Intimate Weddings and Elopements. It is like a mini desert within Alberta! If you’re looking for hoodoos and badlands, this is the place to tie the knot. The best part is that the weather is usually cooperative in this location. Your Intimate Wedding or Elopement will be different from the typical Elopement in the mountains if you plan on going to this location.
4. Jasper
Jasper is a personal favourite place of mine for Elopements and Intimate Weddings. I have spent MANY days in Jasper so I know of some awesome hidden gems! There are many easily accessible locations. There are also many locations that are more private and are easy to get to.
5. Kananaskis
The Kananskis is a PERFECT location to Elope in Alberta if you’re looking for a lot of privacy and gorgeous locations that are easily accessible. You could stop along the highway and Elope anywhere, it is that beautiful!
