Planning a Wedding can bring out the best and the worst in people. Maybe you’re deciding to scrap the idea of a Wedding as it’s too much work, too time consuming, too stressful and you just want to be married already! If you’re deciding to Elope instead of planning a Wedding, just know, you are not alone. Here are 7 reasons why you might want to scratch your Wedding plans to Elope instead.

1. Planning to Elope is less stressful and less time consuming

Do you just want to be married already and not spend the next year or two of your life planning a Wedding? Go ahead and tie the knot! It really is that simple. You will save so much time by Eloping.

2. There won’t be an audience

The one thing I find a lot of couples struggle with is having to stand in front of so many people while saying “I do’s”. Often they’re so worried about it that they have a hard time focusing on what really matters - you. Having to entertain, socialize or speak in front of a group can be daunting to some people. If this sounds like you, eloping might be the perfect fit! This doesn’t mean you can’t have 2-4 people with you at your Elopement.

3. You can be as adventurous as you want

Since you don’t have to worry about a guest list, you can be as adventurous as you want! This is the perfect opportunity to go to the place(s) you’ve always dreamed of! Maybe it is the Black Beach in Iceland or NungNung Waterfall in Petang Bali. There are so many AMAZING places you can Elope, it’s all about finding a place that has or will have meaning to you.

4. You get to focus on your love for each other

Often couples worry about the people they’re inviting and what they may end up doing. Your bridesmaid got so drunk before the reception she didn’t even make it in for the grand entrance or a distant aunt is upset she didn’t get invited. Instead of worrying about all of the things that could go wrong you get to focus on your love for each other! Doesn’t that sound absolutely amazing? Now you don’t have to worry about hurting feelings because no one is getting invited!

5. No wedding party issues

Having a wedding party can be helpful while planning a Wedding, it’s often not. It creates a lot of extra stress on the couple trying to coordinate with all of the Wedding Party. Eloping is so much easier since you aren’t trying to find a dress that fits each bridesmaid nicely. You won’t have to convince the groomsmen with beers to take photographs! You get to focus on the more important things without the extra stress load

Life can get busy in the blink of an eye. There are so many reasons to Elope; you’re expecting a new addition to the family, there may be family issues or a family member might not be around for much longer. There are a large range of reasons why couples decide to Elope! It can get very difficult to plan a 80+ guest Wedding in a short amount of time. An Elopement is totally doable!

Couples decide to Elope because of the financial investment a Wedding includes. More often than not couples prefer to spend the money on a vacay, honeymoon, a downpayment on a house or a big purchase of some sort. Weddings are NOT cheap.
